Concert pianist, Steven Hall, has had a wide range of performing experience as an orchestral soloist, recitalist, and chamber musicians with performances throughout the major music centers of the United States, Europe, and Taiwan.  Many of his performances have been broadcast on National Public Radio's "Performance Today" and radio stations throughout Europe.  A native of Dallas, Texas, Mr. Hall began his piano studies at the age of seven and made his orchestral debut at twelve.  Initially a student of Adele Marcus at Juilliard, he earned his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Piano Performance degrees with John Perry at the University of Texas at Austin, both with High Honors.  In 2000, Dr. Hall received his Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance at the University of Southern California of Music where he received recognition as the Outstanding Doctoral Candidate in Keyboard Studies and the Award for Outstanding Departmental Teaching Assistant as John Perry's Teaching Assistant.

Throughout his career, Steven Hall has adjudicated numerous piano competitions and at the local, state and national level for music teachers' organizations throughout the country.  He has also presented master classes and clinics throughout the United States and Taiwan.  In addition to his solo career, he has toured as a collaborative pianist with a variety of instrumentalists and partnered with his wife, Dr. Annie Lin, as a duo piano team.  Steven Hall has also had expensive experience competing in international piano competitions (including the Van Cliburn and Leeds) and national competitions, including being the first prize winner in the MTNA Collegiate Piano Competition.  Mr. Hall was the first United State's Artist Representative of the Ibach Piano Company of Germany since the company's inception in 1794.  Two critically acclaimed compact discs featuring the Ibach "Richard Wagner" piano on ACA Digital Recording label -- Steven Hall and Classic Piano.  (Both are available for online purchase.)

Dr. Hall is the co-founder of the Brandeis Piano Conservatory of Richardson with many prize-winning students, and for 10 years was the Editor of CD and DVD Reviews for Piano Magazine (formerly Clavier Companion Magazine).

Dr. Hall's extensive and varied performing expertise and musical background makes him a uniquely qualified recording technician.  With more than 35 years of recording solo piano, instrumental, chamber and orchestral venues, Dr. Hall understands and appreciates the nature and color of each instrument.  He also is intimately familiar with the majority of the repertoire that comes into the Studio to record.  Working with a recording engineer with this extensive knowledge saves hours of time and frustration during every stage the recording and editing process.  Consequently, every  beautifully mastered recording presents each performer in their best possible light in both their  audio and video presentations.
